They are similar because they have the same characters. They are different because the characters act different. The wolf is a good guy and granny is a crazy sport freak who is crazy. I saw an example of this when the author states in the beginning in the book" I just want to be a normal kid with friends and playing outside and having a good laugh" that has a sad tone because it is showing how Auggie wants to be normal and dosen't want to spend his days in hospitals. The tone really changes when in the end of the year Auggie gets the Beacher Prep Award. Auggie states" Thank you to my amazing class mates for making feel like a normal kid as I may go through hard times I have true friends like Jack Will and Summer to get me through and it made me feel like a normal kid" you can tell how the tone changed because the author makes the attitude or tone happier and more joyful because she wanted to show how he changed. The author purposely showed that his goal in the beginning was completed. The end where he gives his speech because he won the Becaher Prep Award, he is talking about how he is grateful for all he accomplished.
