One effect of the fire ants tagging onto the boat undetected was a result of Florida being invaded by fire ants and Floridians spending millions of dollars on ant replant to try and get rid of them but because they have no natural enemy they are producing like crazy! Therefore they destroy marshes destroying habitats for alligators and and maybe eventually they'll destroy the lagoon!
