It acts as a mechanism that allows people from different cultural groups to perceive and make sense of one another and to hopefully break down stereotypes, increase knowledge of cultural differences, and see equal humanity and the complexity of people that are not from the same cultural group. Moreover, when we learn about different cultures our biases are challenged, and we are able to think in more diverse ways and have deeper understandings, ultimately benefiting the contemporary multicultural world we find ourselves living in. In our project we are going to reveal the peculiarities of the inhabitants of Africa, focusing on the various territories of this continent. Target audience Firstly, the target audience is people who are going to visit Africa or to travel through it. The second group is people who are going to move to live in this country. They will have to work there and accordingly cooperate with locals, for this they need to know the intricacies of African culture. The third group is private businessmen or employees of international companies that communicate with Africa as a provider. Such people need to build high-quality communication and not lose profits or good suppliers due to lack of communication knowledge. Finally, this project (website) is necessary for students studying intercultural communication at the university. The purpose of our website The purpose of this project depends on the target audience: to introduce the national characteristics of African countries in order to help people in business or informal communication. The relevance of the website is determined by the fact that due to the fact that African countries are not so economically relevant, they are rarely visited, and therefore there is so little information about the subtleties /ˈsʌtltɪz/ of different peoples of Africa. We are going to make a website where we will talk about these features. Structure and content Our structure will contain several sections. The first is a general overview of Africa. It will highlight cultural variables (concepts of time, space, religion and beliefs, gender roles) and the shared cultural standards, values, attitudes. The second part will be devoted to certain African countries. Presumably these will be the following countries: Egypt 🇪🇬 , Nigeria 🇳🇬 , Morocco 🇲🇦 , South Africa 🇿🇦. We will outline the do’s and don’ts in communication. To a greater extent, we will devote this part to informal communication, when a person acts, for example, as a buyer. The second criterion will be official communication (we will describe it where it is necessary to know).
