The most migrants came from Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq and Africa. Civil wars, riots, torture by the system but also poverty made people leave their countries. Thousands of migrants arrived with trains, cars, by foot or by boat. These boats were overfilled with people and were just made out of some plastic. These castaways often payed all their money to get on one of those boats.
