The story begins with hundreds of years past since The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, where we first met the four Pevensie children. It starts by giving background information and explaining the condition of the character, Prince Caspian and his rough childhood. The story then takes a turn, when the Pevensie children are transported to Narnia again, through a portal in a subway station, because someone, or something, within Narnia had used Susan's battle horn, in a way as a cry for help for the Pevensie children. The children later meet Caspian and then discover that his uncle, Miraz, is planning to execute Caspian, rule all of Narnia, and to officially kick Caspian out of line for the throne. Caspian and the others are determined not to let this happen, as they then go to war against his killer uncle. They discover that Alsan has come back to the land of Narnia and is here to help the children. With the help of Aslan the children then defeat the blood-thirsty Miraz, but then Peter and Susan, the oldest of the Pevensie children, are told that they have come of age and must hand down the high-rule of Narnia to Edmund and Lucy. The children then return home through another portal and end right back where they started.

He says we're getting too old."
"Oh, Peter," said Lucy. "What awful bad luck. Can you bear it?"
"Well, I think I can," said Peter. "It's all rather different from what I thought. You'll understand when it comes to your last time. But, quick, here are our things. (Lewis 221)"

I liked this book because it had to do with fantasies, believing, imagination, and childhood. It made me feel like I was actually in the world of Narnia. It made me believe that there still was talking animals and that Aslan was still around. It gave me hope that their courage and kindness could help them defeat Miraz. And they did.
