I want to become a teacher because I once worked as a tutor for young children, and I discovered that I truly enjoy spending time with kids. It made me realize how much I want to be part of their learning and growing journey.

I especially want to teach primary school students because they’re still young and open to learning. I believe it’s a great time to guide them and help them grow in a positive way.

I’ve been learning Chinese for 6 years now, and I’ve always had an interest in languages. At first, I didn’t plan to study teaching or become a teacher. I actually wanted to study Psychology. But during my final year of high school, I often had the chance to explain and help my friends understand lessons in class. That made me start looking for a university that I could study both education and psychology.

Then I found this place, and after doing some research, I really like it— both the teaching program and the view of the university. Also, I want to improve my English even more while studying here.

My grandmother is of Lao descent. She was born and raised in Thailand, and she was granted Thai nationality. My grandfather is also Lao, like my grandmother, and he too obtained Thai nationality. He crossed into Thailand at a very young age and was ordained as a novice monk around the age of 4 or 5. After leaving the monkhood, he worked as a laborer in farming and rice fields, where he eventually met my grandmother. Together, they had six children, and the fifth child is my father.

My father met my mother while they were both working at the same hotel. On my mother’s side, my maternal grandfather and grandmother’s families fled from war and continued relocating until they finally settled in Chiang Saen, Chiang rai Province

I don’t like Chinese but I have no choice. I’m not smart enough to understand Chinese language. My mom told me “YOU CAN DO IT”but…I don’t think so. It’s too hard for me to understand it. She just told me “try to do that.I trust you!” But I say “NO” .I think I will try to learn it for one year.Why I think I can’t do it because I haven’t learned basic Chinese before. Since I was young, I’ve always thought about what I wanted to be when I grew up. Eventually, I discovered my interest in the Chinese language, which I’ve been studying since Grade 2 and continue to study to this day. Although my Chinese is still at a moderate level and not yet fluent, I’ve made progress. I scored 263 on the HSK Level 3 and 81 on the HSKK — all with less than one month of preparation. That was a big challenge for me.

I would describe myself as someone who tends to think a lot, but I do not often share or express my feelings to others. When I first came to university, I was worried about whether I could adapt to the new environment and make friends. However, once I started living here, I found that I could adjust well, and I was fortunate to meet many kind friends who are always there to help me when I face difficulties. At first, I could hardly finish my meals, but after becoming more comfortable, I began to enjoy eating properly again.

I chose to study at Mae Fah Luang University because I want to communicate in English fluently and also aim to speak three languages: Thai, English, and Chinese. Another reason is that I love the atmosphere of the university, which is peaceful, refreshing, and makes me feel less homesick.

My goal is to spend these four years living happily and graduate together with my friends. No matter what obstacles I may face, I hope to overcome them successfully. In the future, I wish to become a good teacher who can share knowledge and support my students.

I’m not very confident in my Chinese skills because I’m not that good at it, but I really enjoy learning English it makes me feel happy whenever I study it. Even though Chinese is not my strongest subject, I still want to give it my best. The reason I want to become a teacher is because of my Chinese teacher, who inspired me and showed me that Chinese isn’t as difficult as it seems, it can actually be fun. That’s why I want to be the kind of teacher who inspires students in the same way. I chose this university because it allows me to learn both English and Chinese, which matches my goals. At first, it was very difficult to adjust, and there were times I felt tired and questioned whether this was really the right path for me. But as I kept trying my best with the support of my friends and teachers. I was able to adapt more easily.

Now, I don’t feel as stressed anymore. I just want to live my university life to the fullest and make it as happy as I can. ;-)

I also love traveling. I often visit new places because traveling is fun and it helps me learn about different people and cultures. In the future, I hope I can speak Chinese well, study abroad, and continue to explore the world.
