This fits with Santiago at the beginning of the book because he was just a shepard boy. He doesn't really come off as a very strong willed person that would go and do a bunch of crazy things without his sheep. Then he finds Fatima and his life is altered to fit with her. The song says that love will find a way when he feels her beside him. In the book after he met Fatima, she was what kept him going to the pyramids. The song says that they are home as long as the are together. In the book The Alchemist, Santiago was not going to go to the pyramids, but instead stay with Fatima at the oasis and be happy. The crystal merchant taught him to keep going in rough times and follow your dream no matter the obstacles. No matter his bad days he continued and eventually reached his personal legend.
