Sometimes the northern hemisphere is tilted towards the sun, sometimes the southern hemisphere is tilted towards the sun. Because of this tilt, we have seasons.</div>]]></description>

This results in very strong gravitational forces, so the tides are extremely high and low. According to NOAA, "[a spring tide] refers to the "springing forth" of the tide and not the season.</div>]]></description>

According to Moonconnection.com During a new moon, the moon is between the earth and the sun. So, during a full moon, the moon is between mars and earth.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>A lunar eclipse happens when the moon passes through a portion or all of the earth's shadow. Lunar eclipses can ONLY happen during a full moon. When the moon passes through the eath's shadow, the earth's shadow is blocking the sun's light from reaching the earth so the moon does not appear. Most times, the moon will appear red-orangish. According to Mreclipse.com, a lunar eclipse appears red-orangish because earth's atmosphere bends the sun's light and refracts some of it towards the moon to illuminate it.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Gravity is very important. It keeps the moon in orbit, and it keeps us in orbit around the sun. Without it, we would float into space and never be able to come back to earth. According to The SciShow, "The astronauts are not weightless, they are falling." This doesn't make sense because they are safe. The reason for this is that the astronauts are falling at the speed of gravity WHILE moving horizontally. They are moving continuously enough to miss the earth. Instead of falling TO earth, they are falling AROUND earth.</div>]]></description>

The moon has a gravitational pull and it pushes on earth. The sun has gravity and it pushes on earth too. In fact, the sun's gravity pushes on every planet because it is so strong. Because the distance between two objects can never be zero, everything in the universe is always attracting other things. Without gravity, we would all float off into never ending space and die a very painful death. :)</div>]]></description>
