My layout will be based on my first ever classroom I had! I taught 4th grade as a long-term sub four school years ago. I had the entrance on the bottom right, and two offices at the southernmost portion of the room. I feel this room creates a calming atmosphere that fosters learning and care. Students will be enthralled by the reading nook in the corner with two bean bags, which is adjacent to the computers. I strategically placed my desk next to the computers so I can monitor what's going on. The desks are in sets of 4 to encourage team-building and cooperative learning. I have a computer that plays music to aid in learning and a kidney table for MTSS and RTI students. I also keep a refrigerator that students can keep snacks in in case they are hungry during the day. I think this makes for a welcoming classroom for my students.

Students will see their classdojo progress on the board and can track how well they have been doing that day.

Most behaviors that a student will have is under a certain category. Students who need something often display a behavior and until that source is addressed the behavior may not stop .
Here are a few ways we can help these students:
1. A student who craves power needs to know that their influence matters and they want control of the situation, I'd say we should give them some. Allow this student to change functions on the Promethean board or call out attendance when they are having a good morning.

2. A student who wants revenge feels wronged and hurt by someone or something. One way to address this is to have the student understand they are cared for and their opinion matters, allowing them to talk in a restorative circle may give them the voice they're looking to have.

3. Students who desire attention often want to feel as though they are being noticed by you. One way to help this is to give them classroom jobs to give them a sense of importance. Students will often feel better if they have the feeling they are helping you in someway.
