Surveillance Techniques: Fingermen: usually (stereotypically) creepy and forceful. They are depicted this way as a deterent to prevent people from going out after curfew. FILM TECHNIQUE: When viewers meet the fingermen, they are in a dark and foggy alley way, in the night time. This assists in creating the creepy/scary look of the Fingermen.
Limits to Personal Freedom: Eg. Curfew.
People aren't allowed out after certain hours, and Fingermen roam to the streets to ensure that no one is out after dark.
Eg. words on the back of vans "FOR YOUR SAFETY".
Media:
Eg. Frabricated news by the government, broadcasted through BTN.
Eg. Citizens manipulated through the false story of the creation and distribution of the St Mary's Virus.
Propoganda:
