Doing sports improve my mental health. I like to exercise in my free time and sign up for races for more challenges. Training for the races can make me feel calm and forget about the heavy school works.

運動可以讓我的心理更健康。我喜歡在閒暇時間運動然後參加比賽讓我覺得更有挑戰。在練習的時候我可以感覺到更平靜然後也可以忘掉課業壓力。

Hanging out with friends

One part of high school that I really like is hanging out with my friends during school as well as outside of school. It makes school more fun to have people to talk too and do projects with during class. It also fun to do activities like sports or getting food with them after school. Being social has greatly impacted my high school experience and made it much more enjoyable.

My favorite sport is basketball. This photo is from my graduation basketball games which will be hold every year in our school. Each class competes against all the other classes after lunchtime. Though my class didn’t win the champion, but the memory with my classmates is unforgettable.

School Friendships

Friendship is really valuable to me at the northwest school and highschool in general because I get to socialize with new people at the start of freshmen year and make a bunch of friends. Everything is fun with friends at school like during lunch time during classes, during our free period at school. At our school we have affinity spaces, sports teams and Interest groups where you are able to make friends who have the same interest and hobby as you do. These are the best ways I socialized at the northwest school. All these clubs and classes are what gave me the option to make all these friends that I have now and let’s me share all the memories i will have with my friends. Which will make us laugh when we get older. And I am very grateful for that.

在西北學校我們有一個表演課。學生們練習了半年，然後進行六場表演給大家看。有些表演有唱歌或跳舞，有些場則沒有。今年我們的表演是 Romeo and Juliet。我們練習了八個月，終於在上個星期表演了。表演課真的很難。我們常常在放學以後練習三或四個小時。不過，我們都覺得這節課非常好玩兒，希望每年都可以繼續上。
At the northwest school, we have a theater class. Students in this class work on a play (or musical) for half the year, and then finally present it to the school in six performances. This year our performance was Romeo and Juliet. We worked for 8 months, and just performed last week. Theater at northwest is very hard, and you have to make an outside of school commitment. So, it has to be a hobby you love in order to enjoy it. Still, it is a big part of the lives of northwest school’s theater kids, and the community would not be the same without it.
