The arguments that I see almost every day are for sure politics. I say this because it's all over the news they are always talking about what's new that going on in the political world. And some news anchors have an opinion when informing you.

A company or person convinces you of something all the time. Because we have billboards, T.V commercials, and Ads on our phones. And you see those things almost every day if you have a phone or TV and you go places. And they can persuade you to buy their things.

You can define a good argument by having facts and research and having fewer opinions. Also, you have to be respectful to the person you are arguing with.

I agree with Haylie because arguments should have credible research and not just all opinions. People should be able to do so if they feel strongly about one topic.

A good argument is defined by its ability to utilize ethos and pathos combined with appropriate language. Language is a medium of persuasion and it is crucial that you select the best words to get your point across. Rhetoric is the sort of hidden meaning within a text that can be much deeper than on the surface.
Often times I'm left on my phone or a computer with 4 or 5 advertisements on screen, trying to convince me to purchase their product or subscribe to their service. these arguments are more often than not left without sufficient evidential backing or otherwise. It is the same for people as well, however with a larger variety of topics and varying degrees of argumentative skill.
I agree with dyandra when she says that a solid argument needs factual backing to be credible.

An argument that I am seeing commonly right now is the argument that masks are bad. Word choice can severely affect an argument. For example, if you use "bad words" your arguments may be too wordy or not make sense. A good argument must consist of relevant evidence. I must unconsciously see hundreds of ads per day. A billboard on the expressway, a sign in a building, a cover of a book are all examples of people trying to convince me to buy something.

On a daily basis, you see at least 50 ads a day whether it be on your phone or a billboard. All these ads usually advertise products that aren't any better than what you have though.
A good argument requires credible evidence and a good topic, but the phrasing makes your argument much stronger. For instance, lots of advertisements say their product is better than the average but there isn't always a good amount of evidence.

Rhetoric is evidence that is essential in any argument because without it, your argument can sound weak.

You can only have a good argument if you have evidence that are facts and not beliefs.

Word choice can make an argument more believable.

If you're trying to make an argument for an advertisement you half to try to convince the customer that your product is better than your competitors. Once again this can not be anecdotal evidence because it will not be the same for everyone if you are trying to cell a truck for instance you cant say I like this truck more. You half to provide good facts and evidence on why that truck is better than the other trucks on the market.

Something that makes a good argument to me is valid evidence that has been proven on the topic. The argument that you present has to backed up with something credible, without good evidence that you can back up with more, your chances of winning that argument are low. But, it has to be in your own words, not something that you copy from a website you researched on Google.

Everyday I hear or read something that a company advertises, trying to sell their product or show/persuade their belief. Some things that I hear/read are really valid and get me thinking, but, some I forget ten seconds later. Its all in the argument that you present for your audience, if its not strong and backed up no one will remember or think of it.

To have a good argument you need a topic, evidence, and data to back that up.
