born in mistria, taewook was often with his grandparents while his parents ran the family's small, but successful, construction company.  one that prided themselves in quality over quantity. he worked and learned under his grandfather, a retired carpenter and founder of the family's construction firm. through the art of woodworking, he learned what simplicity, peace, and focus were.

like his grandfather, taewook prided himself in the furniture that he made and the homes he assisted building, forming the confidence that he would later carry in life. gone were the calls from the local officers and late night runaway sessions. instead was award winning furniture and good barbecue.

as much as he hated it, he had to agree with their somewhat sound logic. after spending ten days and nights in his family's hanok, he had a vision. if he had to do something useful, why not destroy the one thing he bitched about the most: the government. be productive by destroying his ultimate hatred from the inside out. 

as if by sheer luck, he found a job in the department of planning and permitting. the pay was good, but life seemed like a blur, working for the useless and inefficient government that held everyone back. it didn't take long for him to get promoted, eventually to the spot of the division head. why though? especially for a man who hates the government and dreams of turning the local city hall into a chuck e. cheese? 

well he was the most efficient one in the building. unlike ever before, the department was punching out permits in days rather than months with little repercussions. systems were made in the time too, allowing work to streamline. who was this thanks to? ma taewook. as much as he hated his job, left early as always, he somehow got shit done. there was a rumor that he could be seen renovating a closed of section of city hall instead of doing his actual duties.

and he only accepted the promotions that piled on his desk like candy to meet his end goals. in order to destroy the government, he would need a position of power. yet, with every move he believes would bring the government one step closer down to its knees only seems to make it a well better run machine.

he believes his true work for now lies in his workshop, very good woof, where he creates new furniture pieces. on the weekends, he enjoys experimenting with his barbecues. occasionally he has to hide from an ex or two.

when muse a is near, taewook knows something wrong and he can't place his finger on it until he sees her in the flesh. from there, it's a fight or flight situation that typically ends in the worst way possible: flying back to their arms despite the extreme love, hate, want, lust, and disgust he has for her. with a taste of muse a's poison paradise, muse b is addicted to her. he knows though, that he's toxic too. with the two of them together, it always leads to a series of screaming matches, fights, love-hate sex, and some sort of disaster that requires one cleaning up alone. even then, the cycle repeats the moment their eyes meet again

taewook heard this repeatedly throughout the year ever since mistria high announced its upcoming reunion. the first two were cancelled for “unexpected reasons”. now with people coming back into town for the upcoming holidays, it seemed like a great time for everyone to finally meet up after all these years. taewook doesn’t want to go, but drags himself to since he owes it to muse a, a good friend of his since elementary school and someone with too much school spirit. with a flask hidden in his pocket, he forces himself to face the next phase of high school they never tell you about: the reunions.

once taewook's military enlistment was over, all he wanted to do was party until the school semester started. luckily, his friends had the brilliant idea of travelling to las vegas. the group spent most of their time wasted, but they were college kids that just wanted to have fun. 

that was until the last night. muse a and taewook drunkenly eloped, thinking it would be cute. however, when the two woke up the next morning, they realized their grave mistake. it caused a major scandal, since there was no such thing as secrets in a small town. the two ended things, going on their separate ways.

taewook and muse a are co-workers at the department of planning and permitting, but could not be more different from one another. muse a loves her job, giving it her 150% as she continues to love life. taewook wants to nuke the local city hall and be on the down low as he hates his work. she cares too much of others and he seems to care too little. she wants to save the world and he seems to want to destroy it. somehow the two share similar goals with different methods. despite their differences, they have immense respect for one another as they balance each other out.
