Regan: the people didn't just give up and say 'I've waited too long'.
Ethan: he (Simeon) doesn't know when Jesus is going to come, but he does believe that Jesus will come.
Tommy: Simeon trusted that God would lead him to Jesus
Poppy: He showed trust by listening to God and going to the temple to see what it was for.
Grace: he trusted God that he would meet Jesus before he would die even though he was very old.

We talked about how Simeon trusted that God would do what he promised even though he had to wait a lifetime for it to happen. Simeon set an example of how to trust God even if you don't know that he will do what he has promised, so how can we apply trust in our own lives?
Lissy: when my mummy and daddy say that I'm going to go swimming but they don't say when, I can still believe that they are going to take me. We can show trust in others the way Simeon showed trust in God.

Rory: I sometimes argue with my friends. My solution for it is to try not to argue. Sometimes it hurts their feelings that we have argued. The woman wanted Jesus to pray for her children to ask God to keep them safe. Jesus' friends told her that Jesus wouldn't be bothered with children, he was too busy. But Jesus told the crowd that the children were as important to him as everyone else, and that we should all be like the children who look up to God as their father. Jesus was never too busy to make time for children.
