To do this effectively, fold the paper in half and use a hard edge to rip it evenly, repeat this process again to create 4 pieces. The more you fold the paper (back and forth and press on the seam) the easier it will tear. You will be staining the paper for the painting with tea bags- you just need to boil water with the tea bags and press them on the paper once cool. Try to get a fairly even coat and remove excess water with a paper towel. If you have your gesso board, do the transfer on that. If not, you can use the Stonehenge paper. I did a trial myself and found that putting it in the oven at 250 for 5 minutes melted the crayon enough to begin melding the wax. I also found that you can go back over the melted crayon to add more layers. Just MAKE SURE to stay at the oven and watch so that you do not risk the paper burning. You will be able to smell the wax melting and that is usually about the time to take it out. This final piece is due Monday, November 2nd at 10 PM. The face is comprised of a sphere are slightly rectangular shape (the jaw). It can be cut into halves from top to bottom and into thirds from left to right. You can see that the eyes sit right under the top line, nose sits right above the second and the chin is at the bottom. There is also an equal amount of space between the eyes and on the sides of them that is the same length as the eye itself. The split from bottom and top lips sits right in the middle of the bottom third. The ears are typically between the top and bottom thirds. Always remember to give yourself a forehead AND the top of your head.
