There are variations of the same genes, they are callled alleles, an example of them is different hair textures, there isn't a gene for curly or straight hair, but variatons of the hair gene.<br>3. Our parents contribute equally with genes to us, and we can only gets genes from them. If we have alleles in common with our aunts, it's solely because her parents, parents of our parents, passed to her, and they have the same genes, but not explicit.<br>4. Each one of our cells has a copy of the first cell that was formed.<br>5.          <description><![CDATA[<div>- Firefly glows to attract a mate. Males and females will flash signals back and forth as a way of communicating.<br><br>- Fireflies also glow to avoid other animals to attack them. They have a nasty tasting chemical called lucibufagens, and after a predator gets a bite, it associates the firefly's glow with its taste<br><br>- For the fireflies to create light, they have a specific cell in it's tail that creates luciferase protein, than it's carried out causing a chemical reaction. When oxygen combines with calcium, adenosine triphosphate (ATP) and the chemical luciferin in the presence of luciferase, a bioluminescent enzyme, light is produced.<br><br>- One species of firefly that can't make its own light, acquires it by eating others with light. These species of fireflies mimic the flashing pattern of other species. Their theory of action was first fully explained by Charles Darwin and is now considered to be the primary process that gave rise to evolution.<br><br>-How does natural selection work?&nbsp;<br>In natural selection, genetic mutations that favor individual survival are passed on through reproduction. This results in a new generation of organisms that are more likely to survive and reproduce.<br><br>-Through this process of natural selection, favorable traits are passed on from generation to generation. Natural selection can lead to speciation, where one species produces a new and distinctly different species. It's one of the processes that drives evolution and helps explain the diversity of life on Earth.<br><br>-Does Natural Selection Affect Humans?<br>In natural selection, genes that confer a certain survival or reproductive advantage are passed on and persist in a population, while genes that lead to reduced survival or fewer offspring become fewer and fewer.
