One of the most obvious issues is adoption, or the money issues and housing. Now the whole town is trying to raise money for the adoption, but the town is cheap. I enjoyed the book so much but it does have one big flaw for me. The ending was rather, unsatisfying. You would read it expecting there to be more when, there just isn't. But this book is very powerful with a message that makes me feel like I can do anything! It changed me and inspired me. First you see how Mike has to go to his wacky grandparents house to get tutored in math. He befriends the not-so-homeless homeless man Past and finds the three stooges and their "Porch Pals". He helps raise money for an adoption and helps the town with their Do Over Day. During the process he tries to prove to his dad that he is more than a smart man's son.
