  • Hitler rose to power in 1933.  He believed in a master race, and ethnic cleansing.
  • 1938 Kristallnacht: Nazi torching of synagogues, vandalism to Jewish schools, businesses.  Rounding up of Jews.  This marks the beginning of ghettos and concentration camps.
