I was a trainee back then and I was surprised trainees were even allowed to participate in such an event. I remember having practices until 11pm just so we could get the the pieces and choreo right. It was definitely tiring but so so worth it because my whole family and close friends got to see me perform. ❤️

- Sidney Nayve

This photo was taken on May 2010 at Gold Coast, Australia. My first trip out of Asia. We stayed in an apartment where there were lines of shops and malls nearby. On our first day there, we discovered this shop called Pie Face where they sell--pies and some other pastries. I could still remember the first time I tasted their Chicken Mushroom Pie. It was love as first bite. Ever since that time, we made it to a point to walk to the store and buy some pies almost every day of our stay because they were so delectable.

As a foodie, I truly miss travelling and exploring, trying different types of food from other places or countries. Food truly is one of the highlights of every trip, wherever our destination would be.

-Katrina Tan

Funny how I clearly remember how my friends had to ask and persuade my Tita two weeks prior because she’s that strict to me back in time. Hahaha.

It’s not obvious, but I’m drowning because of the square foams, but I had to smile for photos. Lol. Looking back, we’re just like any other kids at that place—having fun running, bouncing, and throwing the closest piece of square with each other. We even played volleyball, dodgeball, and basketball while jumping non-stop. It’s tiring since we’re not active in any sports, but once in a while, we love to do the things that we haven’t done yet.

This photo brings so many memories...how I wish we could bounce back and do normal things without any worries again. :(

- CODOG, Ivy O.

This is a memorable photo because this is my first photo with cooper, he was my first dog that I raised from the time he was 1 year old. Actually, I am scared of dogs until I met cooper. He was my first dog and friend that comforted me through my lonely days. He always make sure to make me feel better with his cute face and tricks. Cooper is always ready to fight and bark anyone that will harm me. He was the best friend that I ever have.

Unfortunately, he died due to heart problems in October 2019. When I got back home from UP, I was told that cooper looks like dying already. I didn't see any signs of pain in his eyes during that day, but I know that he was feeling so much pain. So I just hug him and put in my lap so that I could be with him to his last day. I never thought that I will have my first heart break to cooper. But, I am sure that cooper is somewhere safe and happy.

P.S. The photo is actually a screenshot from the video in my IG but I couldn't download it.

- Obrero, Richmond S.

I used to enroll into skating lessons as a child and every year, I'd participate in the local figure skating competitions held in Mall of Asia and Southmall (my home rink). However, for 2011, I had the opportunity to compete in Bangkok with skaters from both Southmall and Mall of Asia. I had signed up for solo, pair, and group programs, and overall I had fun with my experience. This particular shot was taken after the group production event (the performance was called "Pearl of the Orient"), where we won first place.

I don't skate anymore, but I still occasionally follow the sport (especially during the Winter Olympics and the Grand Prix series).

This was taken last March 4 at the peak of Mt. Manabu. I've always been fascinated by the beauty of mountains. Before, I didn't have the opportunity to go hiking, but this pandemic made me realize that life is fleeting and that I should try to do everything I want to experience. It took some time and courage to ask my mom for her to let me do this.

I chose a minor climb since it was my first time. Fortunately, I was physically prepared for this because I've been physically active. Aside from that this was my first mountain to hike, it was also memorable. Funny thing is I actually forgot to bring my water bottle and I only realized that when I was starting to feel thirsty and tired. I was actually expecting a stall at the peak, but unfortunately there was none because of the pandemic. So yeah, I didn't drink anything until I reached half of my way coming back down. Luckily, I found a coconut store. Yay for fresh buko!

So far, I have climbed two mountains since March (the second one's Mt. Marami), but I had to stop because I caught COVID because of my second hike. :( I really look forward to end this pandemic so I can hike safely again.

- Mykie Ordoñez (Kay)
