Do you think Steve Jobs completed his university education before becoming one of the most prominent CEO's in the 1990's? Nope, he did not. This brings people to the question of " Is completing one's university education the best way to get a job?" University degree holders may have some advantages over those who do not, but this situation does not apply all the time.

- Completing one's university education and obtaining a degree from it may be one of the best ways to convince employers of one's capabilities.
- As long as the one's degree is obtained from a reputable institution of education, there is no way of questioning his/her credentials.
- It's impossible to judge a person's capabilities without any prior evaluations. A university degree solves that just fine by summarizing your capabilities to a single piece of paper.
- In sum, obtaining a university degree is a one way ticket to employment.

- Some say that completing your tertiary education is vital to employment. However, education in form of hard skills may not be necessary at all in certain career fields.
- Some vocational occupations such as mechanics and chefs rely majorly on soft skills. Such skills can only be obtained from hands-on working experience.
- Therefore, spending such a significant amount of time on raw knowledge where it only plays a minor role in your future career is a waste of time.
- In a nutshell, completing one's university education may not necessarily guarantee employment in certain vocational occupations.

- The cost of furthering your studies to a university level is very overpriced these days.
-For example, a MBBS degree would cost a person about half a million. Half a million for a piece of paper! And it does not even guarantee one a job after completing you studies
- A better approach would be to invest that amount of money directly into an occupation like business.
- In short, completing your university education may be more of an expense rather than an investment.

To sum it all up completing one's university education is not the best way to get a job. This is because it does not guarantee employment in certain vocational occupations and it is more of an expense rather than an investment. Parents should not narrow their child's perception on employment, thinking getting what they desire can only be done through education.
