It is now used for selling some souvenirs like bookmarks that are made as the ancients, or antique necklaces, and some books and postcards that have pictures and paintings of different buildings in the Lin Family Mansion and Garden.

When were looking around and passing by the Guan-Jia Hall, Benelisa said it looks like there will be crocodile living inside but accidentally pronounced it as cockroach. Though the pond doesn't seems very clean but I can fee how stunning the place used to be. Then we went to the Yue-Po Terrance there were three ducks swimming there the environment was very chilling and relaxing.

The moment I stepped in the Lin Family Mansion and Garden, the vibe and atmosphere gave me a very special feeling. It feels like I’m back to the 1800s. Every building inside are all so spectacular and jaw dropping. Although there is some buildings inside we didn't get to see, but through these buildings I can tell how much people cherish these historical cultures and building, and how much effort they put in to protect and hand down this architecture. This journey also made my ordinary day a meaningful day.

The water is the center of this section, and it is surrounded by houses, stage, corridors, passages, curved bridges, and artificial mountains. The two pavilions, one serving as the stage and the other as the auditorium, are separated by the water their reflections can be seen clearly when it is sunny. Here, one can appreciate the “pairing of the scenery,” one of the four Chinese garden building techniques. The architectural design not only enriches the scenes but also creates a marvelous sound effect in this closed area.

The Guan-Jia Hall itself is the second largest building in the garden. At the same time, it is the main building and background of the Rong-Yin Pool, making it difficult for people to see through the pool and rockeries at a glance. There is a peacock garden next to it. In the past, monkeys were raised in a rockery cave opposite the peacock garden. It has the meaning of adding more interest in life.

Station on the MRT Bannan Line, walk along Fuzhong Road for about200meters, turn right on Wenchang Street, go to the end and you will reach the park. It takes about15minutes to walk.

A large part of the vitality of the Banyan Pool is provided by banyan trees. The huge shade, open natural ground and large area of ​​pool water can provide a pleasant environment here, making the garden more comfortable.

On the right-hand side of the pavilion, there are winding stone stairs called “she-ji.” It means “climb up the stairs.” In the old times, people could access the platform by going up the stairs. The building functioned as a place where the young ladies of the Lin family went fishing. Outside the wall of this section lies a shallow pond. The piled stones along its bank are also marvelous. One of them was the monument of a ceremony during the Japanese colonialization period.

In addition to offering a place for social life, ceremonies, and gatherings, the hall also functions as a venue to display antiques and old paintings. Of them, the plague "Ding-Jing Hall" was written by the owner of the garden, Wei-Yuen Lin. On top of that, the pattern brick walls in the frontage and the brick carvings on the two sides are also must-see.
