My strength on the STAAR was the ECR which got me a perfect score, this also represents my area of improvement, but I did not do as well in the multiple choice which I believe to be my strong suit. I do not feel very confident after seeing my overall score but think I did better than the general bar set for students.

I feel I need to improve on my analytical skills as well as improve overall on the reading portion of the exam, as well in the writing portion. For my strengths I would like to say I was more confident in the writing portion as well in the essay. I had not expected to get a 10 in the ECR, much less maintain an 80 overall in my STARR exam. As much I tried to be confident, I felt well underprepared since most of the STARR was something I had not practiced throughout the year, my reading skills. And I felt that damaged my grade over all which could have guaranteed me a masters in this STARR.

One of my strengths during the STAAR test was understanding and analyzing texts. I was able to figure out what the passages were really saying. I need to improve on using the CUPS (Capitalization, Usage, Punctuation, Spelling) and ARMS (Add, Remove, Move, Substitute) strategies when revising and editing my writing. I feel like I did good overall, but I also think I could have done better if I had taken more time to revise my writing and check for small mistakes.

On the STAAR, one of my strengths was reading understanding. I felt sure answering questions about the passages, especially when it came to the author’s purpose and making inferences, which helped me. However, I need to improve my writing by using stronger evidence. I also need to work on grammar. Overall, I feel okay about my score, and I’m proud that I passed. A picture that represents my experience is a roller coaster because it had ups and downs but ended well.

My strengths during the STAAR test was the essay. I feel I could have improved in answering questions that relate to the text. I also think if I had focused better I would

have scored higher. Overall, I feel like I could have done better but I am still happy with my grade.

One of my greatest strengths was my essay writing, where I scored a perfect 10 out of 10. This demonstrates my ability to communicate ideas clearly, structure arguments effectively, and provide insightful analysis, which follows the scoring rubric. However, there are areas in which I can improve like the multiple choice questions. There is some concepts I still don’t fully grasp, which are my weak areas like analyzing stories and revising them. Overall, I felt like I find could have done a better job but I’m not so unsatisfied with my score.

My strengths for this STAAR test was the writing portion. On my essay I got a 10/10 and I am content with what I got. Although, my areas for improvement are the reading section since it brought me down nineteen points from a perfect score. I knew that reading wasn't my strong suit but I thought I would do worse on the writing portion of the test. Overall, I feel satisfied with my essay grade but a bit saddened that I went down from my pervious STAAR score.

My strength was the essay and I grew a lot from a 4 to a now 9. Some areas for improvement could be the multiple choice I second guessed myself a lot and didn’t really lock in. Overall I think I did a good job on the STAAR
