She is the daughter of a registered nurse and police officer who both live in the area. She was educated in local public schools.

Katie wants to make sure your values and your community are represented in Washington. Her campaign is a grassroots effort, and she does not take a dime from corporate PACs. She believes representatives in Congress should only be accountable to the voters of the 25th district, not corporations with a lot of money.

Not long after attending College of the Canyons and graduating California State University – Northridge with a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, Katie began working to build up People Assisting the Homeless (PATH). As the executive director, she scaled it from a local organization to California’s largest non-profit provider of homes for the homeless.

Katie is devoted to helping families, addressing poverty at its roots, and bringing real change to her own community. In her time at PATH, she worked with health care providers, law enforcement, and employers. She oversaw hundreds of government contracts, Katie understands the complexities of creating meaningful change. She wants to bring her experience and community’s priorities to Washington and would be honored to have your support.

Katie currently lives on a rescue animal farm in Agua Dulce with her husband Kenny and their dogs, horses and baby goats.
