We provide a range of services and activities aimed at improving health and wellbeing. We have rooms available for hourly rental for local groups, community events and activities. Within the Centre are Salford Disability Forum, Salford Deaf Community, Living Well, Citizen’s Advice Salford, Family Hub, a Children’s Day Nursery, a busy GP service, our Jigsaw Café and other services such as Dance and Fitness Classes, Talk English and ESOL Classes, Diabetic Eye Screening Clinic, etc.

We are also a distribution centre for Salford Baby Bank and home to the Eccles Youth team who have regular youth club sessions. We also work alongside housing trusts and other organisation working with families, children, and young people in the local area.

We use our backyard for gardening and vegetable growing activities. In addition to the regular groups we run holiday clubs and events on our local Ivy Park.

We work primarily with those in custody, on probation, and recently released from prison, offering them the tools, support, and resources to develop their talents, build their own businesses, and contribute positively to their communities. Our commitment to social justice and reducing reoffending drives us to make self-employment a viable, first-choice option for those who need it most.

For many people whose career prospects may be limited due to their criminal record entrepreneurship and self-employment could be the best pathway.

The problem

Unsurprisingly, young people are feeling increasingly disaffected and disconnected - only 1 in 3 believe employers are supportive of hiring them, and nearly half lack confidence they’ll progress into a good job.

This issue causes long-term harm for young people and hurts us all. According to the Youth Employment Group, reducing the number of NEET young people to the same level as the Netherlands (4.4% vs 12.5%) could generate £69 billion in GDP and mean 500,000 more young people earning or learning.
