Bessie Coleman made history when she became the first African American woman to earn a pilot's license on June 15, 1921. She traveled all the way to France to earn it, as it proved impossible to do so in the United Sates due to intense segregation at the time. Bessie Coleman was a barnstorming pilot, which meant she would preform figure eights and loops in the air in front of crowds! People could even walk onto the wings of her plane while it was in flight! Due to her bravery to not only preform such daring stunts, but also to pursue her dreams, Bessie Coleman earned the nicknames "Queen Bess" and "Brave Bessie." She tragically died in an airplane crash on April 30, 1926, but her legacy still lives on. Bessie Coleman continues to inspire flight students.

Many of her paintings were digital. For example, she created virtual reality paintings. Zaha also designed furniture, jewelry, footwear, bags, interior spaces such as restaurants, and stage sets.

Alice Lee was a mathematician who was the first woman to obtain a bachelor's degree in science at Bedford College for Women and the first to become a science doctor at the University of London in 1901. She developed a mathematical formula to determine the skull capacity of living individuals. However, when the social scientist E B Hobson and anatomist Sir William Turner found out about it -(He had been one of the anatomists whose head had been measured and he had one of the smaller skulls)-He should have been pleased with Lee's conclusion that skull size did not correlate with intellectual ability but instead he seemed annoyed. Lamor had said that the thesis must be mostly Pearson's work and not Lee's, although Pearson stated clearly that it was not. Although this was a setback, this did not stop Alice Lee, and in 1901, she published an article based on her studies.

At age 14 she became King Taizong’s concubine and later became his secretary in state affairs. Wu Zetian had a lot of ranks, but the highest one was huanghou which means ¨empress consort¨. While she was empress she reformed the government, decreased public spending, and lowered taxes on local peasants. When Wu Zetian began to rule the current religion of China was Confucianism, but this religion did not allow women to rule. So, Wu Zetian as empress changed the religion of China to Buddhism.
