My advice for incoming 7th graders is to have faith in yourself because the work can be very overwhelming especially if you are coming from a school that doesn't have a good science program. Make sure to do the work, especially the study guides because they will prepare you for the tests. Make sure that it is extremely thorough. I would also say to not doze off because you can lose a lot of valuable information. Take advantage of Lishma and if you don't understand a concept, ask your teacher and they will explain it too you. Also, study with your friends because for me, it helped to teach them. Overall, as long as you try your best, you will do great.

My advice:

-Try not to stress out too much: This class can be hard at times, but the important thing is that you reassure yourself and stay calm; panicking never helped anyone.

-Put in effort and study hard: You get what you put in! Always work hard and put effort into your assignments, it will really help you in this class and in general in the future.

-Don't procrastinate: Procrastination, especially on study guides and homework, gives you temporary relief, but it just heightens the work load and pressure. Stay on top of your assignments and turn them in on time!

I would say that the best advice I could give is that everything ties into one another. Previous units connect to the upcoming units as well as the one you are learning and that is key to succeeding. By making connections to previous units you will more deeply understand the unit you are currently working on helping you on tests, homework, and CER's. Just remember to write every single detail you know on the tests and pay attention in class because everything will come up on homework, tests, or CER's eventually and it wont be good if you don't remember

My advice would be too:

Put a lot of effort into studying, don't just study the night before. Go through the content and study in advance. Don't just use the study. Make flashcards or take notes on the content in slideshows. Also USE the study guide answer key!!
Make sure u fully understand the content. Always participate in class and don't be afraid to get answers wrong.
Answer questions in detail. Break them down piece by piece: define, explain the process, and use an example. Make sure u can explain the whole unit
Go to Lishma and check in with your teacher. Ask them to explain and go into detail. Don't go to LSIHMA the day before the test. Go more in advance so iit'smore quiet and chill so u can get more 1 on 1 time with your teacher
