The course ,from many tutors, feels incredibly hypocritical. This lecture was well done and it's greatly appreciated by , I assume, most of the cohort. However many tutors don't engage with us as a class or offer a variety of methods to us despite preaching this. The whole course really apprecaites Tess' lectures because we are bale to learn on our own terms after being given guidance. No one learns by being incessantly talked to for 2-6 hours per day and I feel that unfortunately a lot of lecturers aren't aware of how well some lectures (like yours) can be done. While we appreciate online learning is very hard, it feels that the understanding of the students is often missed. We understand there is a lot to get through before starting placement, but the delivery could have been better. As we would teach children, explain, allow time to learn and use the methods, and then regroup to see what we have and have not learnt. 
This session was good because it allowed us to do that. Other tutors should adopt this approach and allow us breathing space to learn what we have been taught. 
If the sessions were face to face, I'm sure there would have been time factored into actually doing something rather than being spoken at for the length of the lecture. 
Tutors should see this as an opportunity to tweak their sessions, and not a personal attack on their work. We appreciate it's hard for them, but it's equally hard for us, if not harder because its the unknown.
