Just as we need to be consistent with vocabulary, we should also be consistent with our online resources. I was tutoring a Freshman last year, and she had created a Google Site where she stored all of her classroom resources. How could we more effectively use something like Google Classroom to do this?

For every lesson I highlight 8-13 words that will be essential for that unit. We take a quiz on those words, and they're allowed to retake the quiz so that they really understand what those words mean and it's not a "once and done" opportunity.
Some barriers to this idea is that not everyone is using the same platform so students have multiple places to check and do their work depending on the teacher. Having one centrally located area might help but if a student is already a it unorganized, they need one on one help and there isn't much time to give it to them. I also can't believe the number of students who don't access their school email on their phone. They wait til they have time on their chromebook to open gmail but they have a phone on them almost all the time. Is it hard to add? Can we put together a tutorial? ;)

Ask them the right question, and they're forced to give themselves the good talking-to you wanted to give them (:
