She invents a water testing device that checks for lead in water. This was a very big problem because other devices were unreliable. The signpost I noticed in this article was a Quoted Words. The quote read, " Failure is just another step to success." I know this is a signpost because the author quoted Gitanjali. He has an interesting story which started in math class. During a problem, gunshots went off, they were told to flee into the bush. So he did, he ran from school, home, and his family. They were told not to stop for anything. On the way Salva faced challenges, he was young so he didn't get the benefits because he was weak. Also, his friend was killed by a lion(assumed), his uncle was shot and killed by the enemy. When this happened, everything went out of place, since there was no leader, food wasn't shared, no one followed rules. Salva stepped up, and took place of his uncle. Many years pass of being in refugees camps, and swimming across a crocodile infested river while being shot at, he arrives in New York. Here, he needs to learn a new life. At Sudan he didn't have electricity, or anything really. It was like being a baby learning to walk for him. 19 years of living without his original family goes by when he receives news about his father. He is still alive in a hospital, very sick. He is sick due to the water that was provided in Sudan. This inspired Salva to help his dad and the people of Sudan. In the Hunger Games Katniss is always looking for the light at the end of the tunnel. For instance, on my response about the water, she kept searching. Not once did she just say heck with it and stop searching.  Also, she is always saving her teammates. Instead of just letting him die, she tries to save him and does.
