Thank you for doing this board because I love seeing what other people are doing so I can try it. Either way, we have 1 hour of math. I teach a whole group lesson with gradual release.

Adrian Heard Sorry, I forgot to say how I do groups. I use the pretest scores to group students and also what I know of student's ability. I have 3 groups because math block is not long. The groups are teacher, collaborative, and iPads (Dreambox). We are only in groups once a week. I only doing groups after about 2-3 days of working with the skill

I try to get one hour in for math. I TRY to get a Number Talk in...My favorite days are ones where I introduce a skill via a mini-lesson then break up into Math Stations: M(meet with teacher - differentiated skills we are working on) A (At Your Seat - practice) T (Technology - Prodigy//XTra Math/Moby Max Math) and H (Hands on games - a variety of games for fluency practice). I do one rotation per day for 30 minutes. I can usually get 4 solid days in and those are the best math days. There are some days when I need more whole group time, so we do things differently - and I don't like these days. I use pretest scores and knowledge about students to form my groups. My groups are flexible and I move students in and out as needed. Sometimes I feel like things are missing. I hope more will add to this padlet.
