U Lab teachers use DRA tests very often.          <description><![CDATA[<div>I am in charge of two guided reading groups each day. Most of my guided reading lessons include word work. I noticed that 2 of my students were struggling with silent e words, so after we finished reading our book, the whole group went over to the pocket chart and practiced saying the words with and without the silent e. This was great practice for them and I think will&nbsp; help them to remember how those kinds of words sound next time they see/read them.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

So after calendar time each day, before we began our reading lesson, the students and I would read this poem together. They also had a printed copy of it in their poem fluency folders. I plan to do a poem like this for each of their units. </div>]]></description>
