Greet the family before we eat is a uniqe culture in Viet Nam. If your parents are easy u could just say “mời cả nhà” this mean you greet the whole family at once but if ur parents are strict then you have to greet each family member the oldest to the youngest or u could not greet the ones that are younger than you its ur choice.

To me, Vietnamese culture is unique in its way of communicating to others. We like/ have gotten into the habit getting personal and close fast, especially when they’re relatives, if you haven’t met them in a while, or if you come across as interesting to them.

You’re expected to answer them most honestly, by the way, even if their questions make you uncomfortable or even if you feel like you don’t wanna share. If you don’t, you’re rude and stingy.
