Humans depend on the land more they know. Though some pyhsical landforms will limit what humans can do, though they have to adjust. Since we are now in the 21st century technology has impacted how humans and envirenment interact and alter eachother. Certain places like the Netherlands have created polders, dikes, seawalls, cannals, and pumps to help prevent flooding. Hurricane Katrina got its power from the very warm water, and as it passes over land it can generate into a very powerful storm. All in all humans impact the land by changing it using modern technology, though the envirenment limtis us.

There are many examples of how humans change, need, and depend on the land. For example lets say you live in Sanfransisco which are prone to huge earthquakes. Since you live there you have to adapt to the land by getting earthquake proof homes so you can be safe. Another example is if you live in Texas, since they are known for tornadoes they have to adapt and build or buy a storm celler. All in all there are many ways humans impact the land.

Sustianability means the use of earth limited reasources by humans in ways that do not constrian on the future resources. China has had a major factor in the rising pollution levels. Biodiversitiy is the amount of speceis across the Earth or in a speasifc area. It is important becuase then we know how much reasources we have and what is limited to us. When there is alot of species it is called species- rich, when there are little to none species it is called spieceis- poor. All in all sustainability depends on the use of reasources and population of an area.

It is clear you're doing the reading, as you're using evidence from it.
