A change in government policy could ban TikTok, which means losing millions of users. This could be damaging to the App. We can clearly see the political factor when arise the increased tension between China and United States. US regulators have the power to limit foreign access to technology deals.  Recently, US has come to close to ban TikTok and India which was the largest consumer of the platform’s content already banned TikTok. The U.S., under President Trump, voiced significant national security concerns regarding the company's Chinese ownership.
