Theodore Roosevelt was born on October 27, 1858. He was born in New York City. As for schooling, he did not attend public schools at a young age. He was homeschooled due to his illnesses and asthma. His dream as a child was to work with animals, since he enjoyed them oh so much but his life gave him different results. Roosevelt didn't stay long in law school. He joined the New York States Assembly as a representative for NYC. Then, he became the head captain for the National Guards.
Later in his life, his mother and his wife had saw the end of their lives. Teddy was devastated on the death of them both, whom had died on the same day. For this event to happen, Theodore took two years off from his political life. After those two years had passed. Teddy soon became the governor of New York before coming the U.S vice president. President William Mckinley was assassinated during Roosevelt's vice presidency in 1901. Teddy became the youngest man, at the age of 42, to resume William's presidency as the president of the United States.

Issues Theodore had to face going into Presidency

Starting off as the Vice President of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt had some impact of President William Mckinley's decisions. Yet, he did not have any say in the decision of the assassination of President Mckinley. So, Theodore had to step up to the plate and assume the presidency. At the age of 42, he became the United States President. Walking into this role, he faced some issues that he couldn't just walk away from. The population of the United States had almost doubled between the years 1870-1900. This was caused by immigrants coming into the U.S cities to work in factories. This overcrowded cities and caused poor working conditions.

Theodore Roosevelt was a part of the Republican Party. When running for presidency, he defeated the Democratic nominee, Alton B. Parker. Tactics that Theodore used was that he was always trying to help someone. When the government wouldn't step in when it comes to them being responsible for national welfare, Teddy would tell them to step in whenever states were not capable of dealing with their own problems.

Positives:
- Roosevelt worked hard to improve the quality of life for the average American.
- Taking on large corporations, they managed to form many monopolies and trusts.
- He helped to increase the government regulation and safety standards of food and medicine with the Meat Inspection Act and the Pure Food and Drug Act.
Negatives:
- Roosevelt was a big believer in "racial fitness."
- We can also blame Teddy on provoking a war that killed many people.

Opinion Based Q's: Do you believe this President had a good or bad tenure in their terms? Did they leave the country in a good or bad place by the time they left?

I believe that Theodore Roosevelt was mostly a good president over all with his terms in office. Like every person on the earth, no one is perfect. Presidents will make mistakes, just like Teddy did throughout his terms. Although he made a few downfalls on the country, he had also made it rise. He was always trying to help the country in some type of way, most of the time. He helped regulate standards for food and medicine to make sure that everyone was safe. Along with trying to make the quality of life more enjoyable to an average American. I think that he left the country in mostly a good place. Like I said, everyone is going to have downfalls.

After Theodore Roosevelt was done serving in office, he kept along the regulations he made while in office dealing with the food we consume and the medicine we take to help prevent us from getting sick. Without that, the United States could be experiencing more viruses than wanted.
