Its about Giant Timber Bamboo and the process it undergoes from beginning to end. When it is first planted the farmers must water it everyday for three years with no sign of growth. After about three years of constant watering the bamboo with grow 90 feet in 60 DAYS!! This is similar to the 10,000 hours rule from Outliers. He has been the AD here for 18 years and a major reason behind not only the athletics success but also the universities success. 

"Win in all three phases"
Every department meeting Mike takes pride in winning in all three phases at the college level. Winning on the court/field, winning in the classroom, and winning in the community. Mike's biggest achievement is the academic success of his athletes since taking over as the leader. Since 1998 Gonzaga athletes have had a combined GPA of 3.0 or higher. My main responsibility is intramurals where we are ranked #2 in the nation with over 60% of our students playing an intramural sport. We employ over 60 referees and offer 31 sports.
