The treatment of an infected wound all depends on how server it might be, it’s location, the possibility of infection elsewhere and how long you’ve had the wound. To began treating an infected wound medicine will be given to decrease pain and swelling. Cleaning of the wound will be done to help it’s healing process. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) might be used to bring more oxygen into the tissues to help them recover. Lastly in some cases surgery might be needed in order to remove infected or dead tissue as well as foreign objects. I think that this process might be modern.
