ETS should consider the long-term, short-term and effects that this change will have on its stakeholder, such as profit margins. Both of the growth strategies have their own advantages such as being able to tackle some of ETS's growth challenges, but simultaneously levy heavy risks on the company.

Overall, in the long-run, diversification might be a better idea for ETS, even though the additional risks may result in reduced profit margins for the initial duration, as this will help the company to move into a new market with a new product, giving them a competitive edge over their competitors. On the other hand, the short-term would suggest market development, which would allow the company to capture more market share in a new market, and develop more and create a loyal customer base. Stakeholders would prefer that ETS look at the short-term market development, which would also allow for additional profits to be created for them.
