I would love to acquire a degree in either nuclear physics, chemistry, chemical engineering, biochemical engineering, or astrophysics.

I would thoroughly enjoy entering the scientific research field. I dream of being the next generation's Carl Sagan / Neil DeGrasse Tyson. I mean I don't exactly care that much about salary, of course over $70,000 a year would be nice, but as long as I am studying, researching, and/or lecturing on the scientific research I devote my life to, I will be happy waking up each morning and going to work. In the end, this is what truly matters to me. The average starting salary for a chemical engineer is approximately $70,400, so I should be safe to hope for a salary around that value.

W. Hagood Bellinger scholarship is just one of nearly SIX dozen scholarships for out of state residents of Georgia who complete and are eligible for FASFA, this scholarship is specifically for students from SC, others on such list of FASFA scholarships are from other states/countries. Students awarded scholarships are expected to always maintain at least a 3.0 GPA every semester, coming to Tech as freshman scholarships are awarded only for the first 8 semesters. FASFA scholarship application must be completed each year of attendance for consideration.

Affordability of a university is a bit of a deciding factor for me and is why I think clemson (in state college) is my best shot at going to college. Unless Georgia Tech is willing to give me scholarships and aid, and that goes for any other university I apply to, then my best shot at scholarships are probably in state. I would like to go to a college that is in a big city with lots of things to go to like bars, museums, cool attractions/places to study, and that is why Atlanta is attractive and possibly even USC Honors. I don't think I would like frat life kind of campus life, unless I was in an engineering frat with guys that weren't obnoxious and condescending. Athletics would be nice to attend and is why Clemson is attractive for that reason.
