I would consider my hero to be a person who has made a significant impact on my life because at this point in my life, I haven't been saved yet from a tragedy. My mom would be my first hero because she brought me into this world however my dad also plays a role into my life. Until I become married or in a steady relationship, I cant think of anyone who would rank higher than my 2 parents.

To me, success is something that is accomplished after a long stretch of continuous dedication and perseverance. I will admit that I might be a little biased however I think that a person can achieve success even if they don't totally come from nothing. Its 1 thing if a person inherits a ton of money and doesn't take any measures to grow the money but its another if they come from a successful back round but make many efforts to grow the money and have a job of there own. My personal plan is to go to Millikin and play baseball and golf. I know this sounds bad but I can really see myself dropping out of college and still becoming successful. Although this is not ideal, my dad took that route because just like me, college wasn't for him. He did get a degree from College of Dupage however he dropped out of 2 other colleges after. However, he is successful and he just had to work hard. Every human will be given an opportunity at some point or another and some people will have it easier than others. But I'm confident I will be able to take over my dads company if I really want to. I'm not completely sold on the idea because I am also interested in entrepreneurial and marketing ideas however I know that my easiest route to major financial success will be growing my dads construction company.

When I think about things that are very important to me a couple things come to mind. One is a successful future, another is money. I know this sounds selfish and is kind of childish but the way I look at life is you get nice things to money. Yes you could have $1billion and die of a disease at 30 years old and money did nothing for you, but you can't really do anything against the uncontrollable's. For me, if I can have financial success I will find myself living a very happy life and will just hope that I stay healthy as well. I also value relationships very high. In fact, whatever the future has in plan for me in terms of my significant other, they will be very Highup because with today's very high divorce rate and what seems to be consistently failing relationships, I don't want to become a statistic myself. Finding the perfect girl, having enough financial success to realistically by the things I desire in life and being able to enjoy myself through those things with my family are the three things that would be most important to me.

My family is very small. I am an only child and there is three of us so family traditions are very moderate and are not as significant as most families probably are. In terms of Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners and special religious holidays/celebrations, our family usually just has like a five course meal. We might possibly invite some people or go somewhere but for the most part it's usually just us. I think because so much of our extended family is located in other states or don't really care enough to eat with us is probably the reason the majority of the special days throughout the year I am with my family.

Something which I think is unique about me and that I'm proud to say about myself is that I judge people based on my interaction/experiences with them. Before I accept negative stuff about a different person just by hearing it, I make my own opinion about them. The kinds of people identify with would be golf and baseball players because those are the two sports I play but that doesn't necessarily mean I wouldn't get along with kids who play other sports. Additionally, I am a pretty well-rounded kid and probably wouldn't hang out with what society would refer to as troubled kids. That being said, even if someone has a disability or has a rougher past I would not think negatively of them simply because of this. Instead like I mentioned earlier, I would experience the person and get my own opinion first. My friends are all people that I can count on that would look out for me and I know care about me just how I care about them. Some of my closer friends definitely share identical views as myself.

Admire is a very generic word because I feel like many people say they admire certain people when in reality, they just like that person for their materialistic accomplishments. For that, I can't honestly say there's anyone I truly admire although there are a lot of people I think it would be super cool to be them because of who they became. Admire means to regard someone with respect or like a warm feeling and when someone says oh I admire so-and-so because he has XY&Z, that is not what the word admire represents.

My family undoubtedly wants me to be successful. At the same time, they want me to be successful but want me to understand that being successful is not having everything given to you. I agree and in all honesty I would not want everything given to me because I would never have that feeling of accomplishment because I would know deep down that everything was given to me. My family knows I value baseball and golf is my two sports and I have supported me the whole way and now as I go off to college to play both the sports they're so happy that by them supporting me it paid off and I Mabel to play at the next level. Something me and my family disagree on his cars. Personally I would've liked to choose a cheap used vehicle instead of getting the hammy down for my mom but this is just an example of how she wants me to have nice things but understand that you don't just get the things you want I have to work for it. My future is really up to me and I know that sounds cheesy but it's the truth. I have the opportunity to grow my dad's construction company which realistically is my fastest way to financial success, but I have to value but I truly like the most and I'm not entirely sure that is what I would enjoy doing most in life. I have a very creative mind and would like to invent and design stuff or start my own company and I'm also very good with marketing. These are all things my family wants for me and have helped me achieve or too one day achieve

Schooling Importance

And when I have to talk about schooling importance, I feel I'm almost becoming a hypocrite to my true feelings. There is no doubt that after almost completing high school now I can say that a large majority of my schooling has been useless but there are some important life long things that I did take away from it. My government class, economics class and partially mathematics class have been helpful and are definitely things that are important for me to know for successful future. That being said a large majority of my other classes I don't think are important. Electives on the other hand are a whole different ballgame because they are supposed to be classes that create a well-rounded student, not necessarily school related. At least this is the way I look at it. Classes like sociology- of course this is not something I need in my future but it's super interesting and that's why I took this course because I have the desire to learn more about it. Classes like PE-super frustrating for an athlete like me that is very active and trains on a regular basis and then has to get sweaty during the day playing useless games to prevent childhood obesity. I think a very important thing about myself is that some people are just school smart and get good grades and everything but don't truly understand or are able to apply the material, they're just good at remembering stuff from my book to score well on a test. Although I may not do good in all my classes, the classes that I express an interest in and genuinely care about I find I get good grades in. And, if I had to think about my schooling and decide whether I would be a different person based on a different schooling experience, I would have to say that other than my social life I think my education would be the same. That leads me to one last but very important thought. Everything I referred to schooling so far has been educational-based but a large majority of our social lives have been developed through schooling. This makes schooling more important because it helps us create friendships and develop a healthy social life which is just as important as a strong education.

In regards to the many advances I've experienced in technology as I've grown up, I've been able to take extreme advantage of these and make my life easier. On the flipside, it's also been my life more difficult because I expect my parents to be able to utilize these new advances but they continue to do things the old-fashioned way. This makes things more frustrating for me because we are always on different pages. Even as I'm typing this paper right now, I was able to use my phone to submit pictures through the app which made it way easier than me trying to transfer pictures on my computer and then adding them to padlet on the computer. Or something that's interesting is the newspaper. I have never really paid much attention to the newspaper although I have read articles in the newspaper especially when I'm in! But my dad, he is always reading the newspaper and it is his main source of hearing about the news. I would just get a notification on my phone. The differences amongst generations in utilizing the current technology that's evolving every day is crazy to think about.

Type of person I am

I had a hard time thinking of anything that may have been forgotten but if there was one thing, it would be the type of person I am. What I mean by this is there are many people that are all super different based on what their life revolves around. Although some people might find some of these names offensive, I realistically look at society and realize there are different types of people. Some examples might include hands-on people, rednecks, athletes, outdoorsman, studiers, conservatives, active, helpers, etc. overall, I would consider myself an athlete but I love outdoor activities such as fishing. I also love boating, riding bikes and constructing things. Something I'm extremely passionate about but I have not mentioned at all yet is cars. I am a huge car enthusiast. Specifically, I'm obsessed with Mercedes-Benz. Although I realistically probably won't be purchasing my first car for a while, I like the idea of a three series but I still love Mercedes. I've learned to appreciate all luxurious brands and I've learned the creative niches each of them have brought to the industry and I just love studying and researching and customizing and doing different things to cars. I have never really been into souping up off branded cars like some people do, i just love luxurious cars and making them faster. My goal when I get older would be to have a nice house but not crazy back and be able to have an eight car garage and just have a bunch of super cool cars and constantly be collecting them and trading them going to shows etc.
