- both qualitative and quantitative data is used ( white people: black people and whether individuals were more likely to help drunk or ill person)
- participants were not aware of the study and its nature taking place were therefore more likely to react naturally which can increase validity/decrease chances of social desirable behaviour.
- standardization was used for variables such as clothing worn/time taken before confederate helps the victim which can allow researchers to compare data for analytical/statistical purpose.
