The large piers of the coastal park are to this day used as ‘diving boards’ into the blue waters of Limassol. This is a custom that has been particularly popular since the middle of the 20^th century and gained popularity after the creation of the complex, with the formation of various piers along the entire length of the park.The combination of swimming in the sea with exercising on the walkway is, of course, ideal. And while the park is suitable for exercising on land, the coastline is also popular for kayaking, SUP, and other watersports. Others choose to relax with the views of the sea, fishing with rods from the docks.

In any case, the Limassol Molos is an atypical, but beloved ‘beach’ for everyone.

1. Special Lighting Design by Chauvet – more than 70 (!!!) light fixtures have been strategically positioned and permanently installed to draw the attention on the many Carnival Statues or constructions that were once decorating the Carnival Parade over the decades.

The church takes its name from an icon of the Virgin Mary, which was found in a glen (‘napa’ in Latin), and thus is dedicated to her. Other sources believe that the church owes its name to a temple built in the Frankish period, dedicated to the Holy Nappe of St. Berenice, known by the name of ‘Saint Nape’.The present church is three-aisled, with a marble iconostasis and frescoes mainly on the dome, and contains a silver-covered icon of Ayia Napa.

The museum also features coins from different ruling periods, illustrating the island’s role as a key trade hub in the Mediterranean.

Whether you're drawn to history, art, or archaeology, the museum provides a unique look into the island’s medieval heritage.

“Heroes’ square”

The Platia Iroon “Heroes’ square”, located in the Centre of the old town of Limassol, in the area formerly known as Kkesogloydkia. The square was created in 1910 and later built the heroes monument, which is dedicated to the fights of Greeks for freedom. The monument and the four pavilions of the square completed in 1947. The Heroes square, apart from a period of stagnation, has always constituted a reference point for the People for dining, entertainment and cultural events. Here is also the Rialto Theatre. In addition the square illuminated by notable Venetian lamps, rare for Cyprus.

During the British colonial period, Plateia Iroon was a popular spot for public gatherings and demonstrations. It was also the site of many important speeches and rallies, as the people of Limassol fought for independence and self-determination. In 1960, when Cyprus gained independence, Plateia Iroon became an important symbol of national pride and unity. The square was officially renamed Heroes Square in honour of the Cypriot heroes who fought for freedom and independence.
