         <description><![CDATA[<div>I like this quote from this novel because it means that Piggy is struck (and killed) by the rock and the conch is destroyed. Symbolically, it means that the talisman, that represented order and civilized behavior has also been destroyed. The conch initially established order on the island. And Ralph had used it to summon the boys to meetings which needs to happen in order for the boys in future parts of the novel. (Brooke Huebner)</div>]]></description>
