- Each of the three branches of government can limit the powers of the others. This keeps all three branches in check which is necessary to be fair and equal. 

How does each branch keep the other in check? (One example for each branch)
- If the legislative branch does not agree with the way in which the judicial branch has interpreted the law, they can introduce a new piece of legislation

  •  Checks and balances are the system that keeps the power equal among the three branches of government. They are necessary to make sure one branch of government doesn't have more power than the other.
  • The legislative branch makes laws, but the judicial branch can declare those laws unconstitutional. The President in the executive branch can veto a law, but the legislative branch can override that veto with enough votes.
  • I think the judicial branch is very important. I chose this because although the legislative makes laws and the executive carries them out, the judicial branch can say how those laws are interpreted.

    2. executive branch ensures the judicial and legislative branch don't pass things w/o approval. Judicial branch keeps the executive branch from passing unequal laws.

Check and balances is the way that the branches check each other and make sure the power is equal. This is necessary because we do not want on branch having too much power.

Checks and balances is what equalizes the power between the three government branches. It is important because with our country being a democracy, we need to have equalized power.
    2. Each branch keeps one another in check because Legislative writes the laws which then passes into the executive branch who carries out the law the legislative passed, and lastly the judicial branch then interprets the law if someone is said to break the set law.
