    Personification is used when emotions and feelings are described as guests who "violently sweep your house empty of its furniture"

    4. Imagery
    The dark thought, the shame....and invite them in.
    These emotions can be 'met at the door' and 'invited in'.

    Be grateful for whoever comes,
    for each has been sent
