I reward points for participating in class, wearing their badge around their neck, assisting their peers in the class who may be struggling, assisting me with tasks that I need done, etc.

Sometimes I will do it at the beginning or end of class, but most of the time I will write down the students I owe points to and award the points either before or after school. In the hallway I will sometime scans students badges as well.

If students are performing for us at an event and I know their name I will award them points as well.

My students love receiving points and are constantly asking me for the rewards they bought with their points. I also get their input on items they would like to see in the store.

Each day, we start with a warmup using a phrase I created called 3 for 3. Three students are chosen to share their warmups for 3 points. Points are added for students who came in and immediately started their warmup. It is a great way to get my students engaged from the start of class and motivates them to do their best whether it is practice work or assignments. I also assign roles such as tutor in AT and teachers' helper in other classes to earn . These students run errands for me or help me with tasks in the classroom, and are rewarded for their willingness to take ownership.

Passing a test/quiz
Using strategies on test
H.O.T Classes (Here on Time)
Not leaving your class for the restroom or water
Not using their planner for the week in your class for bathroom or water.
Everyone showed up for class. No absences on test days.
Students can tell you what BEST means.
Check the class for chromebook charge if they are 1st period 90% charge , 3 period 80% charge, afternoon classes 50% charge give them a few points for Taking Ownership and Excellence.
