         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Four Sources of Change</strong></div><div><strong> </strong></div><div><strong>Internal</strong></div><div><strong> </strong></div><div><strong>Strategic Change </strong>is a change in the strategy or mission of the organisation. For example, diversification of business, acquisition of a new business or merging with another company are strategic changes which in turn may require a change in organisational culture.</div><div> </div><div><strong>Structural change</strong> is a change in the organisational structure, such as team building or downsizing. These changes are made to make operations run more smoothly, improve overall coordination and control or empower individuals to make their own decisions in the area of their work.<br><br></div><div><strong> </strong></div><div><strong>External</strong></div><div><strong> </strong></div><div><strong>Competition</strong>  - In such environments, establishing organisations need to define themselves against both traditional competitors who develop new products and services as well as small entrepreneurial firms with innovative offerings.
