         <description><![CDATA[<div>1601054<br>Topic - Owl<br><br><br>Theme – The writer is describing about the nature of owls as they are not really afraid of humans and it is not a night bird only, but it prefers to fly in night because it attacked by some other birds in day time. The writer is also describing about the size of the owls as they are not much bigger, also a mature owl is not bigger as a thrush. The writer is also picking the immotional nature of the owls as the mother of those owlets waited whole night and gurgled for it’s babies and also it had left&nbsp; a tail of the mose in the mosquito net because it was not expecting the writer as good parent. And also telling us the anger behaviour of the mother owl when it attacks on the grandfather and also about the feeling of matureness when it greeted&nbsp; with “whoo whoo sound”.<br><br></div><div>Characters - In this section, Ruskin bond is describing about the behaviour of two owlets and their mother who had been separated from each other&nbsp; .&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>Actions – This part is starts with&nbsp; a winter morning of Dehradun of 1950’s and 60’s, when the writer and his grandfather find an owlet by the verandah steps.<br><br></div><div>&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>Background – This part is taken from the book named, “The book of NATURE”, written by Ruskin Bond. In the story a squirrel, teen tiger, a parrot and unknowingly a baby python travels with them in a train. When the writer and his grandfather find the baby python traveling with them, they try to keep secret but later it is revealed. They somehow manage in the train and also when they reach their destination, the aunt too finds out about the python and faints. Grandfather brought him up as his own child and named him Timothy. Timothy was accompanied by Toto- the monkey and a mongrel puppy. Timothy was very friendly he used to play with the writer whenever he came. But as time kept running on and timothy grew he became less friendly. When he started stalking Mahmoud- the cook with villainous intent grandfather decided to transfer him to Lucknow zoo. One day grandfather went zoo to meet Timothy. So grandfather went to timothy’s cage and played with him the whole but at last he came to know that the tiger he was playing with was not timothy. He died two months ago. After hearing that grandfather said good bye to that tiger and briskly left out of zoo.&nbsp;</div><div>The theme of this story reveals moral character, kind heartedness and friendly nature of the grandfather. One can find wild animals turned as pets. Love and Affection towards the animals. He describes the bond between animals and humans. The animals too had gentlemanly qualities. The tone of the story is quite humorous. The way they are handling their pets is very interesting. The excitement of the journey from Dehradun to Lucknow. The story ends in a cheerful tone, no harm to the animals. Bond justifies the title of the story very well.<br><br></div><div><strong>Background:<br></strong><br></div><div>After reading the story one can conclude that animals were accepted in the society whole heartedly. Instances in the story marks this fact. The animals had the full liberty to roam anywhere. The passengers on the train didn’t harmed the animals, showing the society in that period was very hospitable. Vintage Taxis depicts that timeline can be of somewhat around 1950.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div><strong>Characters Sketches-<br></strong><br></div><div>1.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Timothy (Tiger)-&nbsp; The pet tiger was very silent, very lazy as mentioned in the context.          <description><![CDATA[<div>The writer Ruskin Bond shares the experiences of how he and his grandfather met with two baby owlets, both of them were fearless of humans, they had funny nature. At the same time he describes the behaviour of mother owl towards her babies. she waited whole night and gurgled for her babies. She thought that the writer is not a good parent for them but she was wrong.
