I was raised as a Catholic, even though my mom is Presbyterian. I went to Catholic school for eight years and received four of the Holy Sacraments. We went to church every Sunday when I was younger. We celebrate all Christian holidays as well as holidays like Thanksgiving, Halloween, Valentine's Day, and 4th of July. As I grew older, I have grown my own opinions on religion. I have a strong faith in God, but do not agree with everything the Catholic Church does. My kids will be raised a lot different than I was. My boyfriend and I plan on getting married and having kids of our own. My boyfriend is Muslim. We plan on letting our kids experience both religions and can choose their own faith when they're old enough. The most important thing to us is that we have children who have a relationship with God. Below is a picture of my boyfriend and I at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. As you can see from the photo, we are both Boston Celtics fans. Go Celtics!

I have a very diverse background. I am Scottish, English, Irish, and French on my mom's side, and Irish and English on my dad's side. However, I mostly associate myself with being Irish more than anything else. On an interesting note, my Grandmother recently found out that we may be distant relatives of Napoleon Bonaparte. It may not be the best news, but it certainly is fascinating to me! Below is a picture of the Irish flag.

I was raised Christian, so Christmas is a big part of my life. Every Christmas Eve, my Grandparents come over my house and my mom makes a large variety of appetizers. For dessert, we have a birthday cake for baby Jesus. We each have a candle and light it for something we value. Then we sing happy birthday! After that, we play lots of board games until we attend Christmas Eve mass at 11pm. This tradition has been around for years, and I would love to continue this tradition when I have a family of my own.

I always try to treat people the way I would want to be treated. I don't see the point in judging people because our individuality is what makes the world better. If we all looked and acted the same way, then the world would be a pretty boring place. I am also a jokester. I love putting a smile on people's faces. It's one of the best feelings in the world However, I am extremely hard on myself and always strive to be better. I like to try my best in everything I do. I get my work ethic from my mom and dad. They work extremely hard and will go above and beyond to succeed in their careers. I would like to say I try to do the same.

I value God, my family, my boyfriend, and respect. God has always been a big part of my life. I owe all my accomplishments to Him and I will be forever thankful to have God in my life. My family and I are extremely close. I spend a lot of time with them and they are my biggest cheerleaders. They never judge me and encourage me to do my best. My boyfriend and I have been together for five years. He is my best friend. He cheers me up on my darkest days and makes me the happiest person alive whenever I'm with him. Lastly, I value respect. I believe that everyone should be respected, regardless of race, religion, or sexual preference. Everyone is created in God's image and no one has a right to judge someone because they may be different from you.

Ethnicity is special!

I feel everyone's ethnicity is special because it is a part of who you are and where you came from. I am proud of my background and would love to learn more about it. I love learning about other people's backgrounds too. Seeing similarities and differences between people's backgrounds makes the world a unique place to live! I also look forward to expand my cultural knowledge by marrying someone of a completely different background. My boyfriend's mom is from Egypt and his dad is from Iran. I want my kids to be able to respect every religion and ethnicity, no matter how different it may be from ours. Below is a movie poster from the movie called The Big Sick. It is a true story about a man and woman from different backgrounds that fall in love. The man is Muslim and is highly encouraged by his parents to have an arranged marriage. I don't want to give too much away but this movie reminds me a lot about my boyfriend and I and I highly recommend it!

My family loves to keep active, so we go to Peace Valley Park quite a bit when the weather is warmer. We walk around the lake or go kayaking. We also go to the beach for a week at the end of the summer. For the past three years, we have been going to Bethany Beach in Delaware. It's a great family-oriented place and we always enjoy ourselves down there. My parents and I love going out to eat. Every Friday we go out to dinner. Out favorite places to eat are Bernie's, Brick House, and The Pour House. Below is a photo of the restaurant Bernie's in Hatboro. It is one of our favorite places to eat!
