É basicamente um servico flexivel e acessivel que tem como item a nuvem, usando a internet para poder acessar essa conexão em qualquer tipo de plataforma e ferramenta.

Alguns serviços desse modelo é o Google Docs, G-Mail e o Photoshop.com eles são exemplos pois são executados em servidor remoto nao caso não precisa ter feito o download no próprio computador.

Alguns serviços desse modelo são as lojas virtuais  dentro desse modelo tem três divisões:  pública,  privada e híbrida. Sendo para pequenas e médias empresas que tem vendas voláteis portanto elas podem ter falha em sua infraestrutura optando por pagar por um serviço deste.

São a Amazon, Microsoft e Google.

Sistema Centralizado, porque possui tempo compartilhado,  utiliza a mainframe  e o banco de dados.
